We are proud to be able to say that our Spots and bags are handmade just up the road with quality, recycled materials by expert makers with decades of experience. The factory has been manufacturing bags for outdoor adventures since 1932.

By the very nature of being handmade on a busy factory floor, there can sometimes be stitching errors or the material can end up marked from machinery.

These slightly imperfect products are still completely usable. To avoid them going unused and unloved we have made them available to buy at a reduced price.

Each of our factory seconds has a unique fault or mark but these do not compromise the functionality of the product. 

All of these factory second Spots have a stitching fault.

We are unable to control the colour of tarpaulin we get supplied, photos on this product page do not indicate the colour or condition of the factory second you will receive when you place your order.

The Spot: a handy insulated mat with a carrying handle

Our spots are bright, cheery colours making them less likely to lose or leave behind. They are made out of recycled lorry tarpaulin saving them from a depressing life in landfill. Instead, they get to enjoy a second life going to beautiful places, keeping feet and bums warm.

We designed it with outdoor swimming in mind but the spot can be used on hikes, camping and all sorts of other adventures.  

When would you use a spot?
- if you want somewhere to sit and keep your bum dry while out for a walk, climbing or camping etc. 
- for al fresco changing – giving you the option to get changed outside of your Turtleback bag or simply used on its own

PLEASE NOTE:

* The Spots are made from recycled lorry tarpaulin. It has been throughly treated and cleaned but will have residue marks. These may include textured surface where strapping has been removed, scuff marks or even tiny holes – these are just left over scars from a tough life on the road. We like to think scars have character. Each spot is as unique as its owner!
